The Full Site Assessment
Every installation starts with a full site assessment. One of our team visits your property, and we:
MEASURE
the total lawn area accurately
Assess the gradient
both average slope and any steep sections
Identify obstacles
narrow passages, and separate lawn zones
Check the Power supply
the availability, and location for the charging station
Evaluate GPS signal suitability
if you’re considering a wire-free model
Recommend
the most appropriate model for your specific garden

The assessment takes approximately 30 minutes. There’s no obligation to proceed, and there’s no charge regardless of whether you go ahead.
Installation process
What our robotic mower Installation Involves
Boundary Wire Installation
For wire-guided models, we install a low-voltage boundary wire around the perimeter of your mowing area, around any obstacles, and along any guide wire runs back to the charging station. The wire can be pinned to the surface (it disappears into the turf within a few weeks) or buried to a shallow depth.
We follow the manufacturer’s installation guidelines precisely, wire depth, loop configuration, and guide wire positioning all affect how accurately the mower navigates.
Charging Station Placement
The charging station needs to be positioned on a flat section of lawn within cable reach of a power supply. We assess the best location during the site visit and position it correctly for the mower to dock reliably.
GPS and App Setup
For GPS-guided models (Husqvarna NERA and EGO AURA), we set up the virtual boundary mapping, configure the mowing zones, and connect the mower to your home Wi-Fi or mobile app. We don’t leave until the system is working correctly and you understand how to use it.
Test Run and Handover
Every installation ends with a supervised test run. We watch the mower complete its first pass, check boundary detection, verify the return to station, and make any adjustments needed before handover.

Our installation pricing is straightforward and includes all installation kit costs, there are no hidden extras. Prices vary by lawn size and complexity:

Up to 800m²

Medium lawn
800m² to 1800m²
£550
Large lawn
Over 1800m²
£650
All prices include the installation kit, there’s nothing added on afterwards. For particularly complex layouts (multiple separate zones, very long boundary runs, or unusual terrain), we’ll flag anything that may affect the price during the site assessment before you commit to anything.
